Don’t Give Up On Your Goals Just Yet!

And just like that, it’s the end of June. I’m not sure how, but this year seems to be flying by right before our very eyes. If you’re like me, you set goals for yourself about what you wanted to complete before the year ended. But if you’re also like me, you haven’t necessarily seen the results you expected. It can be demoralizing when you aren’t achieving your goals in the timeframe you desire, especially when you feel like you’ve given it your all. My Hiatus of Solitude [Part 1: The Journey]

I had a lot of trouble writing this post, because each time I started, questions began to flood my mind. How do I fit 5 months of experience into one post? How do I keep it concise enough that people actually read it entirely? Did I gain as much from my fast of solitude as I wanted, or claim? The truth is, I can’t guarantee the right answers for all of these questions because everyone will have their own interpretation of what I have to share. But, I think it’s been put on my heart to say something since I came out of my fast with a new, refreshed, and solidified mindset. My hope is that even if you aren’t Christian, my takeaways will resonate with you in the same manner they did with me. This fast opened my eyes to many things, and I hope it does for you as well.

If You Don't Follow Your Dreams, Who Will?

Dreams. We all have them. Usually in our sleep, but those aren't the dreams I'm talking about, in a sense. I'm talking about the dreams that are our aspirations. No matter how big or small they are, we all have things we'd like to see happen in our lives. Whether its reaching a certain status in a company, owning your own business, finding the love of your life to spend the rest of your time with, or even graduating from school, a dream is something very important to us. We try to find the means necessary to make these dreams come true but that's easier said than done. You see, nothing in life comes easy, especially dreams. Sure, there are countless movies out there that may say otherwise, but they're movies. Their purpose in those cases is to inspire us to go after our dreams and make them happen. And we should!
