"I Believe the Children are Our Future"

We were all kids once. We know just how crazy a roller coaster ride it was, but all of the things that happened during our childhood are what shaped who we have become. That crucial stage in our lives determined our future, and it was a fragile time where the smallest things could have lasting impacts. That is why its important to make positive impacts on kids while they're still young, so it continues to grow inside of them and helps them become great people.

Have We Overcome Our Pasts, or are We Reliving History?

We all have things in our past that have affected our lives in some kind of way. Whether it was starting a relationship, making a new friend, taking on a tough class, committing to attend a school, leaving home, or whatever it may have been, the actions in the past have had some impact on ourselves or those around us. We've lived and we've learned; we've made good decisions and bad choices; we learned from the mistakes we made in the past and have continued on with our lives. Overall, these things are what helped shape who we are today. But have we really learned from the past?

Accepting Yourself

We have all had those time when we look at ourselves and wonder why someone doesn't like us, or why we are perceived as "different" because of how others see us. This usually leads down two roads. The first road is merely accepting the fact that there are differing qualities between you and others. The other road is insecurity. We enter a phase where we are racking our brains trying to figure out why we are different and whether it is bad or not. This is known otherwise as insecurity. This is also a characteristic that holds us back in life. Once a person becomes insecure, they lose self-esteem, one of the worst things that could ever happen to a person. Why? Because it means you will fall victim to the world and its negative influences. Whatever the case may be, it is a virus that lives inside of you until you can overcome it.
